| I got a free reading from Robert Camp's Destiny Cards, Love Cards site: http://www.7thunders.com/FreeReading/Readings.php This is my birth card: Jack of Clubs: The Mentally Creative Card Creative or dishonest? Which is which? As we can imagine, those who are the most creative can also be the most dishonest and vice versa. Here is a card of mental and financial creativity and these people are no lazy bones. Their brilliant minds are far ahead of the common person and society. They are the people of the Aquarian Age. As members of the royal family they dislike pettiness and tend to be somewhat impatient with the failings of others. They need respect and a position that allows their brilliant minds free reign to create and explore. They are never at a loss for ideas, some of which will bring them huge financial returns. On the negative side, the Jack of Clubs can be irresponsible and in some cases, dishonest. They can see things from so many levels that nothing is really "wrong" - it is just another way of looking at things. They don't get away with much in that regard though. Saturn's swift chastisement always reminds them of the boundaries that keep them balanced and fair in their dealings. Your Karma Cards are the: Jack of Diamonds - You owe something to this person and they reflect you in some way. Ten of Hearts - This person owes you and you are their mirror in some way. | That it would lead to this seems inevitable. Hope and change are in the air! | | |
| Last night, I pondered, meditated, and visualized as I shuffled Tarot decks and dealt several spreads with three different decks. I read the Celtic Dragon tarot deck when I'm asking for guidance and/or insight about Rachel; the Goddess tarot for guidance and/or insight about myself; the Enchanted Tarot for guidance and/or insight about Peter. The three card spread is simple: left card represents the situation, the middle card indicates influencing or mitigating factors, and the right hand card represents the outcome. Here's the Celtic Dragon result, with divinatory meanings copied from A Guide to the Celtic Dragon Tarot :
What is at hand: 15 Chains -- Oppressive situations. (usually the Devil card.) Interpretation: "Fear or reluctance to break from a bad situation or relationship is hindering your progress. You are chained in an oppressive situation by refusing to see the truth. Someone is bullying or riding roughshod over you. Your energy is being wasted in indulgences. A relationship in which you are involved is based on the wrong reasons and is not productive. Untrustworthy people are presenting themselves as something other than they are." Influencing or mitigating factors: 20 Judgment -- Renewal; karmic issues. Interpretation: "Something or someone out of the past comes back into your life with influences you may or may not like. Handle karmic relationships or issues correctly or pay the price. This card may point to a change of home or job. You are attracted to a new line of spiritual or magickal study. You will face an unpleasant but necessary decision."
Outcome: 14 Temperance -- New Perspectives. Interpretation: "This card may presage a period of creative inspiration, or a time of harmony and peacefulness. Self control and inner guidance will get you through difficulties. A trip gives you a new perspective on an old issue. You need to adapt to new circumstances." | | |
| This week's horoscope from Ron Brezsny (http://www.freewillastrology.com) speaks to an ongoing issue for me: taking care of myself instead of others. It's timely, because Peter and I have been speaking to each other about what we really want for and from each other. Aquarius Horoscope for week of August 2, 2007 It's the Season of Burning, Churning Yearning. Here are three of the most important things I've ever told you about how to get what you need. (1) If you don't precisely articulate your conscious desires, your unconscious patterns will come true instead. (2) If you want your conscious desires to trump your unconscious patterns, speak or write your conscious desires every day. (3) It's better to have three huge, soaring, potent desires than 25 puny, scrabbling, half-assed desires.
So, I will catalog my conscious desires below, and will edit and refine this list continually: - to lead a healthy, active, learning life facing the world with my loving partner at my side, as my equal, my friend, and my lover.
- to take excellent care of myself: intellectually, emotionally, physically, spiritually, medically, dentally -- supported by a clean diet and a fit lifestyle.
- to grow old as a wise woman -- learning every day, exercising compassion, loving with detachment, able to accept the inconceivable. I hope to master the art-science-gift of administering healing body work, and want to advance my knowledge of herbology.
- to "give back" -- to serve society in some way that does not drain me, or take too much energy away from life in paradise.
